  1. Connect external monitor to laptop.
  2. Open laptop.
  3. Open Photoshop.
  4. Curse Photoshop’s inability to remember palette locations when you’ve switched from single- to dual-display mode.
  5. Close Navigator palette.
  6. Close Histogram palette.
  7. Toss Actions palette into palette well.
  8. Increase height of History palette.
  9. Show Character palette.
  10. Move Character palette to bottom left of workspace.
  11. Repeat line 4 as needed.
  12. Discover Photoshop’s wonderful “Save Workspace” feature.
  13. Facepalm.
  14. Make sheepish blog entry, apologizing for ever doubting Photoshop in the first place.
