Crawling on back.

Like the Great Z, I suppose I should drop in a note to mention that I’m not dead yet, either. Things have been a might hectic over the past few months (both at work and not-work), and I should apologize not only to the three of you, but this poor lil’ neglected URL.

Tweaked the layout on this site yet again. Well, I suppose I’ve blown the term tweak right out of the waters of relevance; decided I was sick of looking at the blues and grays, so I up and redesigned the site again. I’ve been validating at XHTML 1.1 for awhile now, but the CSS has been wholly reworked. I’m still massaging the bugs out of it (haven’t finished testing on the Mac yet), so I’d love to hear your comments. I think every browser listed in the colophon is covered, but please let me know if that’s not the case.

So. The big news of late is that I’m heading to London with the woman. I am downright ecstatic. Flying over there for nine days, hitting all the literary hotspots that I’ve never seen and always romanticized about. Milton’s grave, Dover beach — I really can’t wait. I’m hoping that I’ll some measure of proficiency with the new digital camera by then. Looking forward to making these places real — or at least, more real than the days as a literature whore. ([ed.] —just browsed through the faculty page. Wow…just wow. )

Best CD ever created: Red Snapper’s Our Aim Is to Satisfy Red Snapper. The secret of life, in less than 15 tracks.

Grudgingly downloaded the Mozilla 1.3 release — Jeff was right, it is faster. With Quick Launch enabled, it even beats Phoenix’s supersonic startup. But there are a few features that I’ve grown fond of in Phoenix that’ll probably keep me there for awhile — the customizable toolbars and ctrl + [number] tab-switching pretty much rock all the other browsers right out of the water. Besides. View > Toolbars > Customize… is still the coolest thing ever.

Thanks for visiting the site — great to see you again.
