Weblog entry:
- Dude? Okie. Lag.
-
I’m crying at my desk right now. I just finished reading through an article entitled
The Automated Online Role-Player
, and my coworkers were shooting me funny looks due to the laughing fits the article induced. The article’s author, Dave Kosak, began with a rather impressive looking set of rules for emulating player behavior in online games, and wrote an AIbot
to run around the Star Wars Galaxies game and, well, piss everyone off:- Darth Vader:
- Would you like my light saber?
- Farglik:
- Dude?
- Darth Vader:
- My light saber. I bestow it onto you.
- Farglik:
- Right on!
[Darth Vader opens up a trade and gives Farglik a light saber.]
[Farglik hands Darth Vader a melon.]
- Darth Vader:
- Thanks, uh, for the…melon.
I realize this stuff is quasi-sideblog fodder, but I’m dying over here — you read now, yes? (link via Kryogenix)
