Weblog entry:
- All about the BUZZ
-
It’s been one of those months where things feel a bit too surreal, a bit too fortunate, where my luck seems to have hit a somewhat uncharacteristically good patch. I’ve just become one of the newest members of the Web Standards Project.
While their tagline says that they’re
a grassroots coalition fighting for standards that ensure simple, affordable access to web technologies for all
, the WaSP is also the main reason that I started building valid, standards-compliant sites. I owe much of who I am professionally to the fine members of the WaSP’s roster, and consider myself incredibly, stupidly lucky to have been invited to join their number (because believe me, I didn’t get in on my looks <grin />).Once I stop hyperventilating, I’ll be ready to get to work. Wish me luck.
Update: My name showed up on the WaSP homepage, and Dave Shea announces his newfound WaSP status. It is a very good day.

There’s a WordPress issue that’s currently preventing old comments from displaying correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience, but hopefully we’ll be back online soon.
