Weblog entry:
- A weekend of little (and great) import.
-
The weekend’s been a fairly nondescript one — although I guess when compared to all of the weekend travelling I did last month, this weekend’s been more than okay to me. Got a little freelance work taken care of, met up with some friends downtown last night over some excellent Thai food. Tonight, a screening of Lost in Translation, a movie I’ve been excited about for some time.
Had a slight crisis of conscience this morning at around 1.30AM — namely, I was staring at my computer screen for a good ten minutes, having just put a 15-inch Powerbook into my shopping cart at the Apple Store and trying my damndest not to buy it. It’s interesting1 how I can talk myself into possibly purchasing something I’d like to have, rather than something for which I have an outright need. The worst part about this little bout of inner turmoil is that I’m not exactly sure which side I’d like to have win out — maybe I’ll be lucky, and will somehow purchase the damn laptop in my sleep one evening, and not have to worry about it any more.
You know, this whole thing would be much easier if I didn’t have to worry about that whole
rent
thing this month. Bah.1 Or horrifying — either way.
