A woman in a white tank top stands across the street; she and a few others are in front of a huge table, promoting some new car or other. She sees a few guys walking across the street, and hollers toward us:
- Girl:
- [shouts] Hey! Any of you guys want to earn ten dollars? All you need to do is ride in a car — just ten minutes — and then fill out a survey! Then you get a gift certificate to [a local restaurant]!
- Guy:
- [stops, turns]
- Girl:
- It’s for ten bucks!
- Guy:
- [pauses] Can I spend it on booze?
- Girl:
- Sure!
