Pinterian tech support
One:
Well, as you inserted the paper yourself, the drive’s repair won’t be covered by your warranty.
Two:
Really? Well, the last support technician I spoke to lead me to believe that there wouldn’t be any problem with that.
One:
I’m sorry, but accidental damage is outside the scope of your plan’s coverage. If you ship it down, our technicians will assess the damage; if the paper turns out to be the cause of the drive’s malfunction, we’ll have to charge you for the repair.
Two:
[sighs] Okay, well, what might that repair cost?
One:
Sure, I can look that up for you. One moment, please.
[pause]
One:
Okay, a ComboDrive replacement will be nine hundred and fifty dollars.
[pause]
Two:
I’m sorry?
One:
Nine hundred and fifty dollars — that covers parts and labor.
Two:
[silence]

And, scene.
